HOW IT WORKS
A capability split: your phone can spend, their server can only watch.
A passkey or wallet signature derives two keys on your device: a spending key that never leaves it, and a viewing key whose child goes to Cloaked's server. The server can derive your addresses and scan for you, but cannot sign.
You share one name — you.clkd.eth. Each payment to it resolves to a fresh stealth address, derived deterministically using ERC-5564 principles, adapted so no onchain announcement is needed. The sender sees an empty address and nothing else.
The server scans and shows you one aggregated balance across all your stealth addresses. It shows you everything in one clean view, but also knows everything about your addresses.
Two paths. Direct sends: EIP-7702 turns stealth addresses into Porto smart accounts at spend time, so gas is paid in the token you're sending. Or move to the Incognito balance powered by Privacy Pools, to break the link for everyone watching.
TRADE OFFS
Cloaked is unusually candid about its own trade-offs. Take them at their word:
WHAT CLOAKED SEES
Everything. The server derives your stealth addresses and sees every receive and balance. As the relay for Privacy Pools flows it sees both sides of your deposit and withdrawal. Privacy here is against the public, not against the company.
WHAT THE PUBLIC SEES
Fresh addresses with no history. Spending by combining several stealth addresses in one transaction links those together onchain forever. Receiving is private by default, use Privacy Pools to spend privately.
CENTRALISATION
Your you.clkd.eth name is theirs, and can be revoked. You are also reliant on their relay, ENS resolver, and gateway. The account contracts are Porto's and audited.
RECOVERY
recovery.clkd.xyz is an open-source, fully client-side page that exports your keys, and keeps everything non-custodial. You can walk away and withdraw through privacypools.com with a different relayer tomorrow. If Cloaked disappears today, you just lose their UX, not your money.
